With an abundance of available natural gas and sandstone, Lancaster and Fairfield County have a long history of glass making. This history is reflected as the Ohio Glass Museum. The museum offers guided tours where visitors can learn about the local glass industry, as well as procedures for making glassware from the past up until modern times. The museum collections offers a variety of glassware examples, some dating back to the Victorian period. Glassblowing workshops and demonstrations are held throughout the day.
